Terms and conditions
Please read these terms before using UkilVai. Using the platform means you accept them.
1.Using the platform
UkilVai is a technology platform that connects people and organisations seeking legal help with listed independent lawyers and service providers.
The platform must be used for lawful purposes. No user may do anything that breaches applicable law, these terms, or the rights of another user.
2.Account responsibilities
Provide accurate, current information when you create an account. Keeping your password and access secure is your responsibility.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
- Tell us promptly if you notice unauthorised use.
- Accounts may not be shared between people.
3.Consultation bookings
The applicable fee and time are shown to you when you book a consultation. Once a booking is confirmed, both sides are expected to attend at the appointed time.
If a time has to change, tell us through the platform as early as you can. Cancellation and refund rules are set out in the payment policy.
4.Legal service orders
The scope of every legal service is stated before you confirm the order. Work outside that stated scope is treated as a separate service.
Supplying the information and documents a service needs, in good time, is your responsibility. Work can be delayed where they are missing.
5.The lawyer–client relationship
UkilVai does not itself give legal advice and is not anybody’s lawyer. Legal advice is given by listed independent lawyers, each subject to their own professional standards and rules.
A lawyer–client relationship forms between that lawyer and you. It does not arise automatically from using the platform.
6.Limits of the service
- No particular legal outcome is guaranteed.
- No response within a fixed time is guaranteed.
- Emergency support is a priority request, not an emergency response service.
- The AI assistant provides general information, not professional advice.
7.Information you provide
You are responsible for the truth and legality of the information and documents you supply. Providing false or misleading information may lead to a service being suspended.
8.Prohibited activity
- Using the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Impersonating another user or a lawyer.
- Attempting to defeat the platform’s security measures.
- Harvesting or copying data by automated means.
- Collecting or publishing another person’s confidential information without permission.
9.Intellectual property
The UkilVai name, logo, design, software and content belong to UkilVai or its respective rights holders, and may not be used commercially without prior permission.
10.Third-party services
Some third-party services are used to operate the platform — SSLCommerz for payments and Agora for video calling among them. Those services carry their own terms.
11.Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed, although we make reasonable efforts to achieve it.
12.Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UkilVai is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Responsibility for professional advice rests with the lawyer who gave it.
13.Cancellation and suspension
An account or service may be suspended or ended where these terms are breached or where the law requires it. You may also ask to close your account at any time.
14.Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as needed. Significant changes will be announced on the website or in the app.
